# Motorbay

> A REST API for looking up Danish vehicles by license plate, VIN or vehicle ID, with technical data, engine, environment, fuels, the latest inspection, equipment, search and reference data, answered as JSON. The data is Motorstyrelsen's public statistics extract of the Danish Motor Register (DMR), about 13 million vehicles, imported automatically with each new weekly extract. It is vehicle data only (no owners, insurance or debt) and not real-time. Motorbay is not affiliated with Motorstyrelsen.

Every request needs an API key in the X-Api-Key header and an active plan. The free plan includes 1,000 requests a month with no card. Paid plans start at €13 a month. Rate limit: 60 requests per minute per key. Questions: support@motorbay.app.
